Who we are

We turn compassion into direct, visible help.

Padma Animal began by supporting three animal shelters in Nepal and India, and we still do, but we've grown. Today we also gather surplus medical supplies from clinics and hospitals here in the US and get them into the hands of the veterinarians treating animals abroad, we help fund individual surgeries and treatments, and we advocate for animals everywhere: in shelters, in laboratories, and in the food system.

These shelters do the hard work of caring for and saving these animals. They dedicate their lives to it, but they rely on the funding and generosity of others to keep going. That's where you come in. Every dollar makes a huge difference in the lives of these animals. All you have to do is donate.

Three trusted partner shelters in Nepal and India receive direct funding for food, shelter, and daily veterinary care.

We move supplies where they're needed

Surplus bandages, sutures, instruments and equipment from US clinics become better medical care for animals abroad.

We help fund life-changing care

When an animal needs a surgery or treatment their caretakers can't manage on their own, sponsors step in, and follow their recovery every step of the way.

What we believe

Every animalwithout exception.

We don't sort animals into the ones worth saving and the ones that aren't. A dog on a street in Kathmandu, a cat nobody has named, a hen in a cage, the capacity to suffer is the same, and so is the claim on our compassion.

Suffering matters wherever it happens, and to whomever it happens.
Help should be direct, traceable, and honest about what it accomplishes.
The people already doing this work locally know best, our job is to resource them.
The companies and farms that profit from animals work hard to keep their suffering hidden, so most people never see it. Our job is to become more aware, and to help others see it too.
